Puffins start to head back out to the open sea soon but there are usually good numbers on and off the cliffs for the first week to ten days of August.
Although our Treshnish Isles trip timetable changes slightly from August the first (see trips page) we will land visitors ashore to see the puffins and allow plenty time to view them on the water until they fully vacate the are entirely – which can be any time until into the third week in August.
So rest assured at the beginning of August there is still a good chance of catching up with the Treshnish Isles most popular bird species!
