Turus Mara run day trips for those based on the mainland. Transport is provided from the Ferry Terminal at Craignure, through the Loch Na Keal designated National Scenic Area (NSA) to join our trips from Ulva Ferry. Keep an eye out for otters in the loch and both Golden and Sea Eagles as you skirt the loch across from Mull’s largest mountain and only Munro, Ben More.
Visit the unique geological phenomenon that is Fingal’s Cave and imagine your own overture in the eternal surge of the sea!
On this trip, we spend more of our time watching birdlife, seals and other wildlife on the water as the breeding period has come to an end and the birdlife has moved from the cliff edges onto the sea. Although the puffins head back out to the open ocean to overwinter there are still many other bird species to see. Grey seals pup from late August/ early September and we spend some time ashore to see the pups when possible.
